Know someone who can import?
I'm a stickler when it comes to following these laws, as adding a new piece to my collection is NOT worth risking a very heavy fine...or worse, jail time. So I'm not willing to play the "They won't catch me" card.
Does anyone know of someone who can import tanned skins into the USA -legally-? I would like very much to add a mountable european badger skin to my collection...but its a matter of finding someone who can import. I haven't the funds for it RIGHT THIS MOMENT I'm sure, but I would like to know of someone who can help me out for when I do get the funds.
Also please note that on Tuesday, I (Bluewolfcheetah) will be having oral surgery and will not be active for at least a week while I recover and try to not starve. xD

as long as you order from a company or person with a hide shiping permit your fine it must be inspected though and be prepared to pay out the ass to get it here safe it all depends on your state and the status of the animal

OP
I'm referring to purchasing from private parties. And secondly even if I purchase from a company that is over seas and has the proper papers to export out of their country, that doesn't mean I'm covered on my end. I'd still need import papers, even if it's not a CITES species.
