But yeah. I really don't like how it's becoming the cool thing to be an asshole. Too many people are okay with being that way and will flat out tell you "I know i'm a cock sneeze incapable of showing a hint of common decency. Telling you that I know somehow makes me immune from the consequences of choosing to live my life this way." It's irritating, especially when these same people will bitch about someone else not showing them any leeway or compassion or acceptance. They're okay with being edgy and dishing out the bullshit but they're not okay with dealing with what comes with it. Children playing a game they don't know the meaning of.

That edgy shit isn't cute, it's only going to allow people to see how fucked up you are, and eventually you'll be left with equally immature, inconsiderate ass hats.

Frankly, and this might be HORRID to say, but I feel like if you're okay with being an asshole, and if being insulting for the sake of being edgy is cute to you, then you really need to find some way off this planet. kinda reminds me of someone who got upset and "shut down" - journal and all of "omg i cant work im feeling depressed"- and couldnt operate because i said that her drawing reminded me of ren and stimpy... for the fact that it had a chihuahua in it... when i pointed that out they were like "doesnt matter dont compare my work to anything else!"

I don't know why people have to be like that. You politely asked her to change it and now she thinks you are out to get her. It's like for crying out loud just ask to use a certain reference and many artists are ok with it as long as it's different from their original and you give them some credit for the reference.
