Well, they both stir up drama, but one usually attacks the other unprovoked.

Furry and Religion sometimes collide although they are two completely different concepts. Religion is a very historic and somewhat has been a powerful entity among the time's passing and furry is simply a subculture that was created by 'men.' So in a way, furry and religion should hardly be a liability to each other in any different aspects... but sadly they do. Furry is a subculture that has sheltered many of the abnormality (As some might say) from the 'normal,' homosexuals, and etc of which of them have always been the main reason why some of the religious activists have gone against the fandom. Some of my own friends thought I was suddenly different from them and many have left me when I revealed to them that I was actually a wolfdog. Although more then half of my friends understood but as I was saying, people just can't stand things that are alien to them and suddenly feel weird. Religious people are not any different than these everyday people, however, some of them are much more close minded than others. Many of us have noticed these kinds of people and started to hate them in many different ways and many have drifted and chose sides.

However there are people who are both religious and furry. I am a Christian wolfdog, but I have not turned out to be narrow-minded like some of my friends at church I attend every sunday. True when I started attending church, I thought there was always a right/wrong and moral/immoral ways to do things but every since I started meeting these different types of people from the fandom, I started to become more open-minded than ever and also accepted that there are so many various things in the world that are just better when left alone.

Religions may say crap about the fandom and start throwing rocks at us if it were legal but they have to understand that we are peaceful and spunky group of people that are special in our own way, just like we do.

I hope people could stop guilt-trippin' cuz they think being a furry is a goddamned sin and shall be stoned but rather enjoy what they are doing and live out of the shackles they have binded themselves with.

Well, Humanity is the worst thing to have happened to Humanity. But, I'm sure that idolizing cute, cuddly animals has an equal ranking share to inventing the atomic bomb and creating wars to generate revenue. After all, Humanity's best aspect to be like cancer and consume the Earth until it simply dies. Because death to all is the holiest of things and to see beauty in Nature is surely the Devil's work. Oh, yea. Let us pray to a God that is for the murder of all life that we know of in existence.

I am christian and furry. But then I don't view my faith as part of a religion because I decide for myself what I want to believe. Nor do I have to prove anything.

I am both a good little Mormon boy with very conservative standards, as well as a furry, at least in the sense that I like the good art. I'm used to not fitting in (even in Mormon Central, Utah, I am what would be considered an anomoly) but I don't see why even people in my family think the two are mutually exclusive (although, that's mostly just my highly prejudiced older brother) even though I see where he's coming from - this ain't exactly the most Mormon-friendly of places to go.

The main point I'm trying to get at is very rarely is a vocal minority protected. We live in a world full of men's hatred and prejudice for each other, and few people take the time to see things as they really are.

Does Furry not bring together open ideas and permit the blending of religious viewpoints?

And, does religion not try to isolate followers to one view point and assimilate those who do not share the same view into a change of heart? Or else, yelling, fighting, blood shed and even all out war and slaughter to those that won't convert? Is Holy War a good thing at all?
