Okay, so if you know me, you already know that video games and I aren't very close anymore.
But I haven't journaled about anyting in ages, and I'm sure you're not really that interested in my final grades (TOO BAD. 3.5 gpa TOTALLY maintained, please and thank you!)
ANYWAY, here we go.
Video Games and DiDi:
1) What was your FIRST video game console?
Admitting this is going to be like giving away my real age. My first console was an Atari 2600 (YES, the old VCS)
2) Name a few games you played on said console.
omg SERIOUSLY O.O Pitfall, ET (I know, don't laugh...), Pac Man... the game with the tank thingies...
Seriously, I was a child. And I got an NES like a year later.
3) Excluding handhelds, how many VG consoles do you own presently?
Let's see... 4.
4) Were you a Street Fighter nut? Any character in particular?
I did enjoy Street Figther, actually. Ken is hot, Chun Li is FABULOUS, and Vega is a total queen.
5) Do you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with kickass character designs?
I'm cool with Capcom. I mean, Resident Evil was always SUPER hot, and Streetfighter was fun. They did the whole Megaman thing...
6) Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?
If I notice something like that, I would totally squeal. I mean, the controller thingie would be gross, but HONESTLY! You're sitting on my COUCH!
7) What's your favorite RPG/Action RPG?
I'm the wrong boy to ask that one...
I played... um... Parasite Eve, I think it was called. I didn't really like it that much
8) Do you prefer 2D games or 3D games?
Ummm... actually, I think I really like the 3-D thing. But 2-D Sonic is a life's worth of memories...
9) Are you an SNK fan?

9) Are you good at DDR?
Oh JESUS no. I LIKE DDR, don't get me wrong. And the music is always high-energy fun, but I'm the drunk boy at the House of the Dead machine.
Unless there's a cute boy playing.

11) Have you skipped out on important events in life because of video games?
Ummm.... no.
12) Do you listen to video game music?

And there was a time when "Believe in Myself" actually made me tear up (but you DON'T know that omg).
13) Have you ever cosplayed a VG character?
LOL no. I'll wear a miniskirt, shorty-shorts, tights, thigh-highs, platform boots.. WHAT THE HELL EVER. But I'm not into ANY fandom enough to start dressing like the characters at SOCIAL EVENTS. You know... where I would be SEEN.
14) Have you ever been in an arcade playing a fighting game, KICKING ASS, and then some 6 year old asian kid comes in and OWNS YOU??
No, actually. But the last time I earnestly played an arcade fighting game, I think Nirvana still had a hit record.
15) Name three games you would love to see remakes of if it was done properly.
Metal Gear Solid, Double Dragon (I KNOW! Billy Lee was SO HOT! Those perfectly round deltoids... arms like sausage links...) and I'd like to see a remake of the old Friday the 13th game (I'm not kidding. I mean, I HEAR you laughing, but I'm not kidding)
16) Mario or Sonic?

17) When a movie shows up in the theaters, let's use Spider-man as an example, are you likely to buy the GAME version?
Hell no. Although the Spiderman games were kind of fun...
18) What is your LEAST favorite genre of video games? (ex. fighting, sports, shooters, etc.)
RPGs, actually. If I'm in the mood for a video game, I want some mind-numbing, childish time-wasting. If I want an in-depth story, I'll go read.
19) Is there a game out there that you feel was unique and didn't get enough love?
Shenmue. But I guess it got a lot of love when it first came out.
20) Have you ever verbally abused a game because you couldn't beat one of the levels and/or bosses?
Oh yes.

22) What are your thoughts on the live-action Super Mario Bros movie?

And it's bad when you can make a better movie about an Italian-American plumber living in brooklyn than about a group of interesting martial artists from around the globe.

Felicia was pretty fab. She was quick, wore slutty fur-friendly outfits, and had HAIR OUT TO THERE!

Ummm... occasionally I suppose.

I cried when I finally beat the first Double Dragon on NES because I had been trying to do it for FIFTEEN YEARS.
