Too old for furry.
So. Uh...
When are you to old to still hang around the fandom?
I mean... i dont know what i mean.
I just feel to old for this. It feels like i should just get out of here and pretend this all was a part of my childhood.
There are allot of people around that are obviously to old for this but don't realize it.
WHEN are you to old?
Saying you are never to old for furry will make you a manchild, dont do it.

FA+

I think the finally realized he's to old
But really, you're too old for it when you no longer enjoy it :>
I don't think there's a set age at which you're too old for it- I just think that there's a certain point in life where it starts to be not so important, like most things that you once found important.
That's my 10 cents anyway .
I dont either think there's a set AGE.
But maybe a way of thinking or social situation.
I never found the furry fandom important in my life.
It just happened to be the fandom i wanted to start practice my artist skills around.
But I've always been there. I pretty much don't affiliate with any of it. I'm just here. I draw and post my art, I talk to a few people. I don't have fursuits. I don't think I'm an animal, I don't really want to *be* an animal. I don't have anything against it, but I'm not really a part of it. I consider myself "furry fringe".
I think, personally, that it's when you're tired of it, and you don't want to associate with any of it anymore. As some people have already said, there's no set age. I have met people involved deeply in the furry fandom that range from 10 to 65. I think it's more what makes you happy, and what doesn't anymore, or at least, what you want to move past.
It's an arbitrary distinction.
Do you really need some poor justification to not do something you no longer enjoy? THAT'S what makes you a manchild.
I'm just want to see what people say.
I already know what I think.
"I'm just want to see what people say"
Internet social experiments are so passé.
Do it until you don't feel like doing it. There isn't a fixed age for it. =P
This question can only be answered by you alone. n_n
You're not to old for a job unless you are pensioned, most of the time not even then.
It's all about what YOU wanna do. I know you're just seeing what people say, but it's still not a matter of age or how old you think you are. It's how much you enjoy doing it, especially when you're good at it.
Trying to pin a direct age on it will never work because to some of us there isn't such a thing as an age limit to it. Some of us feel wholeheartedly this is where we belong and that it isnt all just kiddy stuff.
As for me? For now I dont ever see myself officially leaving the fandom, just distancing myself a bit. I got into tis "culture" due merely to my love for anthropomorphic characters in cartoons, and games like Bloody Roar and Final Fantasy. I've also always felt more at home around animals than I have most people. But conventions are on of the few places I can be in a crowd THAT BIG and not feel like tearing somebody limb from limb every given minute. So, for now, I don't see myself getting "too old" for it. Call me a manchild if you will but I wholeheartedly feel at home in this community and will choose to remain.
Been a "furry" so to speak since I was 14 way back in the summer of 1984, doubly so when the fandom took a face I could recognize in 1988 and been stuck with it since. Its a part of me, and part of me is it as I still have people walk up to me and say.. "Man your stuff was the first stuff I ran into on the net. For me, its your fault! Thanks!"
No I think as long as you can enjoy it its yours.
Otherwise its like asking when your too old to work with kids, draw cartoons, make games, make art, get married, go to school... Its just an illusion.
im a shineing example of this at times i will admit
You are to old when you get too bitter.
BRB CHANGING DIAPERS
When you get too old for video games.
When you get too old for sex.
overall i think the furry fandom as a whole has gotten way more immature over the years. i think the recent census proved that the fandom is "younger" overall than it used to be, too. not that it necessarily means anything-- i know a 27 year old that acts like he's 11 and a 16 year old that is more responsible than my mother.
as a point of reference I've been "in the fandom" since 1999-00ish, for whatever that's worth
When you feel like you're too old for it. Maybe your feeling is right.
It's OK to grow up and grow away. SF fans do it all the time. The "life-cycle" of most people who are into sf fandom is about 2 to 3 years. It's OK if it is just becomes a hobby. It's OK if it becomes artwork (that only looks furry). It's OK to walk away.
If you want, you can be an artist who can do 'anthro' stuff, too. That's what there was, before there was 'furry'. There were cartoonists socializing, before there was 'furry'.
Can I expect that "furry" may have helped some with your art, or cartooning, or life? You've probably made some friends who are more friends than ''furry fans'. You've made friends who are cartooners and might help you in networking in the future. (Even if it's some bizarre network of ironic interests!)
or you get sick of drawing them
but then again is therev a difference between a furry artist and an actuall furry?
not too old then
were all manchilding now XD
What makes you feel that being involved in furry is so immature and stupid? Its just a hobby, its fun, I get a kick out of it, so I dont see any reason to think OSHI! I better stop having fun now! Im too old for that, I need a pipe and slippers. Fuck that. Its ageist bullshit.
shut up and have more sexual relations.
that is my advice to the old.
That was a general answer. Sorry again.
Sorry, don't know what that acronym stands for ^^''
"blowing air past his lips" = Yes.
"to imply a dismissal of the person as in "whatever" or "go away"" NO GEEZ NOT THAT MEAN WHAT IS WITH YOU KIDS. Jumping to conclusions like that, stop that. 3:<
More of a "PFTTT maannn what a gyp."
However, knowing you, I think you prefer to be around people who are actually intelligent. The furry fandom isn't for intellects.
You know I'll always be here to suck your chickdick when you get lonely.
i feel completely out of touch with everyone here. i dont even have furry friends here. ok well one. but.
i am feeling the age thing too! i dno dude. i can't help but stick around though because i enjoy 2 b drawling animal people, and i like looking at other peoples art. i still feel like 99% DETACHED though which i guess is weird.
I DONT KNOW FRINZY HELP GET ME A FURCOUNSELLOR
I've not clicked with a person on level with where im coming from, so i don't really know what definitions the word furry stirs up.
I mean, unless people are avoiding you cuz you're old and weird, then yeah. :/ There are always extenuating circumstances, no?
You're damn too fucking old for furry when you're a cub/diaper fur. :>
that guy
Don't be the guy who could have grandkids buying the loli comics. That's just creepy. Some people just age well, others don't/
A "That Guy" doesn't even know they're that guy, which is why they're that guy.
Im never gonna leave you <3
Sexual fantasies are fun anyways ;O
