He's Home

BEGIN!
Dad's finally home after long surgery. The hospital had told me a bunch of stuff that was wrong with him and that he was wheelchair bound and couldn't urinate properly, had to have a catheter so on. Had to have someone give him constant care and supervision, I'd be sponge-bathing him, the works. Yesterday's flight in and out was interesting, had time only to pick him up and go and it was a shame I couldn't call
calypsolaforet while I was there to give a head's up. I got him home and it was a constant struggle like they said it would be, but then I noticed something.
He was ran ragged. They never allowed him to sleep properly.
He was shaking. No cigarette in over a month would do that to you, but so would NO SUGAR.
He has the reverse diabetes. He NEEDS to consume sugar to survive. The hospital treated him like he had standard diabetes.
So, I gave him a Mountain Dew, then another, then another. Gave him cookies and cigarettes.
The fucker is walking like nothing ever happened to him. Sure he's a little woozy on his balance but he's already improving fast. Fuck you, Dallas.

Sounds like you need to kick Dallas in the teeth. Or something. I don't know what your options are for that, but honestly that's pretty crappy man.

I'll give them props on the surgery. But where they are wrong is information they were given by... Missouri. >: I

So... Then it's Missouri's fault. I understand mishaps happen, but how can someone get all the information wrong on a patient and just let it go on? I mean, if he's clearly not doing well, and they notice it, why let it continue?

OP
He wasn't doing well. His surgery was to correct a lot of the problems or well, prevent further damage to the spinal cord, yet in doing so it was also to aleviate and allow healing. They just assumed Missouri was right on their shit. Everyone in the country does for whatever reason.

My personal status is to just assume that nobody knows for sure, and then willingly correct anyone who assumes to know my issues. Like when I got those stitches in my head. They assumed to know all this and that about my heath and wellness, but they actually had a ton of stuff wrong. Go figure...

Yeah, in his case it's no different. So, now it's getting better. I expect he'll make a full recovery. His left will take a while because of how drawn up his left arm was, but it'll get better.

Well I hope he has a good recovery, and that nothing else goes wrong for it. With any luck, things should be normal again soon. Or, at least, as close to normal as is comfortable.

Mental recovery is gonna take a lot longer.

OP
At least physically he's making a fast recovery. They got the blood clots out and so now his brain can properly heal. So, I just have to play through with the finale so he can see what a waste it's been.

I hope things get better. You and your father are in my thoughts and prayers.
