1) What was your FIRST video game console?
-The SEGA master system. The challenge will always be there.

2) Name a few games you played on said console.
My Hero. Monster Mansion. Super Wonderboy.

3) Excluding handhelds, how many VG consoles do you own presently?
-None. I find Pcs are better for playing emulators, or just running better quality games that allow me to multitask and don't require a separate monitor.

4) Were you a Street Fighter nut? Any character in particular?
Yes, I loved Zangief and Chung Li. Dalsiem was another memorable character. We would shout at the screen and repeat their catch phrases.

5) Do you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with kickass character designs?
Not after Megaman X 4. After that Capcom started getting weird.

6) Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?
I'd wait for them to take the controller and mention how it is ruined, or how I will have to clean it. I can't have any fun like that unless I completely guilt the naive. Their fault for being unaware.


7) What's your favorite RPG/Action RPG?
-Castlevania Aria of Sorrow. "You have magic powers too?!"
-Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals The RVs. Villians actually meant something, and caused real problems that went beyong "OMG he is different from the hero, smite him"
Heroes of Might and Magic 5 Academia got these Rakshasas which were blue lion people. Awesome stuff.

8) Do you prefer 2D games or 3D games?
-I miss 2d games the most. The first time I played ff7 I spent the whole day learning what this whole other dimension was, and how to walk in it successfully.

9) Are you an SNK fan?
-I am a fan of how much they charge.

9) Are you good at DDR?
-I cannot even walk without tripping over my own feet. The thought of repetitive fast movement makes shudder.

10) Who wants to kick that dog's ass from Duck Hunt?
-I never understood why when I shot him, he didn't die.

11) Have you skipped out on important events in life because of video games?
-I have been late due to them, yes. Everquest was a large distraction in undergraduate school.

12) Do you listen to video game music?
Yup.

13) Have you ever cosplayed a VG character?
-I cannot make costumes, and buying them seems ridiculous.

14) Have you ever been in an arcade playing a fighting game, KICKING ASS, and then some 6 year old asian kid comes in and OWNS YOU??
-That did happen once. Afterwards I didn't play in arcades. The experience haunts me to this day.

15) Name three games you would love to see remakes of if it was done properly.
-Remakes are never done properly or do justice to the original. Though I would love to see a newer version of the nes game "Tales of Olympia", "A boy and his blob" , and "Lufia"

16) Mario or Sonic?
-Both of them fail to amuse me. Run fast, or jump a lot. I never saw the appeal.

17) When a movie shows up in the theaters, let's use Spider-man as an example, are you likely to buy the GAME version?
-No. I don't need lots of cut scenes to relive what I just saw.

18) What is your LEAST favorite genre of video games? (ex. fighting, sports, shooters, etc.)
-Football games. Honestly I can go outside and throw a football if I wanted, pro or not. But being able to throw magical fire? That sounds a lot better.

19) Is there a game out there that you feel was unique and didn't get enough love?
-FF Mystic Quest. It was simple, and eased people into RPGs.

20) Have you ever verbally abused a game because you couldn't beat one of the levels and/or bosses?
-Yup. I believe the first was Monster Mansion. It's basically pacman with vampires.

21) Do you own any VG apparel?
-I once owned an Illusion of gaia shirt that came with the game. It faded after a year, but I loved it.

22) What are your thoughts on the live-action Super Mario Bros movie?
-I thought it was cute to a point, but the whole alternate world with the meteor thing was kinda stupid. There is never any mention of a meteor in any of the games.

23) On that note, what did you think about the live-action Street Fighter movie?
Gomez will be missed.

24) Who's hottest out of the KOF chicks?
-I never looked at the chicks,a dn I don't intend to start now.

25) Do you say "old-school" a lot when you're having a VG conversation with others?
-Sometimes.

26) Have you ever lent someone a game and they returned it to you damaged?
-I have had people just plain steal them or say they lost them, and then tell me they took them after I replace them.

27) Do you own any imported games?
-I played a few on emulators, one of which was the Secret of Mana 3 fan translation. It was really good.

28) Are you ready for this meme to be over, or could you keep going?
-Your time is wasted, not mine.

29) In this scenario, let's pretend you're going to get a video game tattoo! What would you get and where? This can be simple or elaborate.
-I suppose if I had too I'd get one of those bombs from FF on my right shoulder. They are pretty good looking for trash.

30) Have you ever cried after you beat a game? If so why?
Yup, FF Tactics on the Ps. Original Version. The ending was actually thrilling, and the story made me see the downfall of a kingdom. The game allowed for alot of customization and following through to the recurring villain (Love RVs) you kill God, the goal of all BoF RPGS, and every other RPG from Japan. You can only really finish the game if you kill a divine being. That's good gaming. Epically when it has Christian similarities.
