To answer your question as precisely as I can, this tournament doesn't run based on Tiers at all. This is because 1. I don't have a full understanding of Tiers and I doubt everyone who signed up for this tourney would have that kind of knowledge as well. And more importantly, 2. I don't abide by the Tiers that are set up by Smogon or any other big Pokémon Wifi Community, nor do I even acknowledge their Tiers as a thing. This is because I don't see how banning certain Pokémon that are used often just because it works really well is even fair. Like putting Blaziken in Ubers. Just because it's that "Powerful" in battle (And I use the term "Powerful" somewhat loosely), doesn't mean it should be put in a completely different Tier. Blaziken is only that strong because one person found a way to utilize Blaziken in seemingly the best way possible, and went around spreading the news about how he did it. In other words, he got creative. And in that sense, if a Pokémon gets used in a creative way that makes it a beast in battle, should it be put in Ubers or banned? NO. Why, because it isn't that the Pokémon is so overpowered that it wrecks everything. It's mostly because the opposing player doesn't see it coming and loses due to the fact that he didn't have to counter it at the time. It's like this person I battled with once who was implying that the Charizard I used was too overpowered for his Politoed to win against. It wasn't exactly that it was overpowered. It was that he was an idiot during a bit of the battle, and failed to predict what my Charizard could do, what it's moves were or what it's Mega Evolution was. Also putting Pokémon in Overused Tiers just means that everyone uses them, which makes me wonder WHY would this Tier that judges how often a Pokémon is used by people even exists, since....that shouldn't even MATTER.

My point is, that it's merely my opinion that Tiers are stupid and shouldn't even matter, so no. Feel free to use whatever you call "Ubers", but keep in mind that Legendary Pokémon are banned from this tournament, no exceptions. But Mega Evolutions ARE allowed.

And sorry about me ranting. It's just that whenever someone brings up Tiers, it just straight up pisses me off, especially since Pokémon Showdown also uses the same concept for Tiers in their servers, and I already dislike that simulator enough as it is.

I seldom abide by tiers, if at all (I have at least one pokémon in my lineup that's apparently "Never Used"), but I can see why they're there; There are Pokémon out there that are so powerful they verge on game-breaking, and using a team of incredibly powerful Pokémon like that can be seen as cheap by other players. I'm on the fence about this, but I can clearly see their point.

But if you don't agree and they have no bearing on this tournament, then that's fine ^^
