Ripped from the headlines, it's another pointless journal entry!
I'm currently enjoying the chilly weather of California. Having been a resident of Arizona for the past 3 years, it's nice to be cold again. Though I'm staying with my diabetic father who insists that the house should be 80 degrees constantly. x_x It's nice to be near a window that can open when it gets "too warm" for my tastes.
I've moved back to California, permanently this time. I'm still happily married to my husband who is still back in Tucson. I'm hoping sometime after the first of the year, when he gets his tax return, I can go back and move him along with the rest of our stuff out here. I miss him so much despite having only been away from him less than two weeks!
I originally came out here to help my dad take care of the house as well as my mother who has been very ill. She, sadly passed away last week and while it hurts still to think about it, I'm just greatful she's no longer in pain and surrounded by those that love her, be it in this realm or that of the nonliving.
Currently, my PC as well as all my drawing stuff is back home in Tucson, but my husband is coming out next week, on or the day before Christmas to bring it along with a bunch of my other stuff (including my darling-precious Bombay, Morgana! ), so I'm looking forward to having my PC as well as my cat back. :x
There is a lot of stuff to do in this house. My father dedicated the past 6 months to the non-stop care of my mother after her accident and her extended stay in the hospital. So, now with me here, I can help clean up the place. The hardest thing I feel will be going through my mother's belongings, but I'm sure we'll manage.
As an early Christmas gift, my father surprised me with a Guinea Pig. It's a young female I've named Peaches. Darling little critter who has been warming up to me the past couple of days. Not completely, but patience is always the key with small ones.
Anyway, that is "the news". And while I'm at it, Happy Holidays to everyone! Here is wishing whatever you celebrate this holiday season is joyful and safe. Happy New Year as well!
