Does the gift receiver have the right to complain if what their given doesn't sit right with them?

I can still remember from like my 7th or 8th birthday (sometime around then I think) where my best friend's mom had got me an Alien action figure. (The Ridley Scott movie series) It was so foreign to me, as a kid I was not exposed to R - rated movies, so I only saw this grotesque monster... worse still it's "karate-action" as it were was it explodes into pieces: It's head and arm, it's legs, it's other arm, and it's blood red guts.
Now is this the sort of thing one expects a little boy to understand/like?
Cuz I was straight-up honest, I expressed my distaste of it right then and there.
I recall one of the two (at least) of my mom and his, telling me I was being rude.
If only I was eloquent enough back then to express why I thought that it had been a bad idea instead of what I did, but I'd stand by my actions that day.

I suppose if inapproptiate there is right to complain, but im speaking more if you go to someone asking for free art and abusin them. Like making them change it billions of times ect yknow

Sadly this is the furry fandom and most furries don't even say thank you for the art they get, it's sad =/

Yea for whatever reason some people EXPECT free art and its just disappointing

there should be a place to show free art abusers o: people who complain about their free art that they do not need get on my nerves. along with people who demand to get art x.x

I guess its more aimed for those will the talent and the popularity for others to do said abuse and stuff. (As in, those who are really good with artwork, writing and that sort of nature, tend to be targeted by the Art Abusive/ Free Art Hoarder people. )
Granted getting free art rocks, specially from an amazing artist. The only time I get iffed when receiving free art, is when its of my character they draw, and they forget stuff on the character. (Granted, half the time I dont say anything because when its free art, I feel like I'd be horrible to point things out they did wrong ; x ; )
I've had that as well, where someone will want me to draw something for them, and I do it, then they un-follow me a few days later. (Ha sucks for them anyways cuz back then my art was horrid >3 )

I can agree to what you say on here 100%. This is why I tend to keep my art free only to close friends. I do however tend to do pictures for people whose characters I love, or someone I respect :>. (Granted I have yet to do that here, since I can barely keep up with things on dA x3.)
