At this point I just want it done regardless if it's done by BLFC or not, it's just been a very bad first experience for a fursuit. I should have just spent a little extra more money to get it from a more reliable builder

Well they did say they don't set deadlines HOWEVER the lack of communication is really bad business. That's not good, not professional. I hope they've given you some WIPS to prove they're actually doing something .-.

Yeah, I mean I know there's personal life and crisis etc. but it comes down to the fact you're running a business that deals with large amounts of money, your commissioners should be well informed and updated. And nope no WIPS shots at all, what confuses me though is she gave me a march completion date but there were like 4-5 more commissioners before my slot. And I haven't heard nor have a seen any of them at all

The fact there's no WIPs makes this maker sound reeeeeaaally sketchy. I mean, they could have not even started it and you wouldn't even know. Ask for Wip images, or demand them if you have to. If they can't provide it I'd consider giving them a date cut of, if they miss that get a refund. The fact they're ignoring you, no wips and just making excuses raises a whole lot of red flags. Take it from someone that's been ripped off before.

I'm sure they haven't even started it, and actually when I sent another payment about a month ago she's "ill order the materials right away" and in my head I was like "wait what?...I've been in line for a suit for 8 months and you haven't even ordered my suits materials???" I'm just really annoyed with the answers she gives me and they aren't really being fulfilled. If I don't hear anything after I come back from BLFC I'm probly gonna ask for a refund, it's no longer worth my time or money, my last con is in June so why even bother getting it, I'll just find a more reliable builder that can get it done

At least you're going the right way about it, you have every right to be mad. I would certianly be too.
If you don't mind, would you note me which maker this is? I would certainly like to avoid them in future after hearing how much they're messing you around.

I happen to agree with you. i had the same issues with my fur suit maker when i was commissioning them. was told how long it would take to do a small job. then weeks go by and i am asking whats up? i get no replies for days. only when i start getting upset do i get a reply. and then when i get my product back, it looks like a hack job. i send it back showing the defects. now they are being very careless about how they do things. to do a refurbish on a fur head, was told about a week. and it would be done very fast. it cost me $100. it took them 3 months to get it done and it had issues. so it got returned and then when it came back the second time, i still wasnt to happy about it. but i did get $20 back. by this time i had figured out what the problem was. I WASNT SPENDING $1500 OR MORE on any kind of high end fur suit. i was a low dollar end fur suit.

so i do know what your talking about. some fur suit makers get swelled up ego's and forget those that were there for them in the beginning. with out those that commission them, they wouldnt be doing anything if much. they have to REMEMBER, your customers are your lively hood. we pay you for your creativity. we support you in your creations. WE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS! once they start to shine you off because you didnt spend over $1000, is no excuse to blow us off. we spend for your QUALITY. not a last minute slam it out to finish hack job just to shut us up.

This is why i do not endorse my maker any more. at cons they make sure to walk around others to avoid talking to me or to see how their work is holding up. they dont show they truly care once they got paid. swelled up heads and bloated ego's dont mix well with the small fursons that can only do so much at one time. i know, it took me 2 years to get my full fur suit.

So I feel your issues and fully understand. remember, you dont have to wait for them, you can always find some one that is more willing to do it for you in a timely manner. i do know its tough to find them. but when you do, you show you fully support them and show off what they did for you in your creations.

I don't intend to wait for them any longer, one of the main reasons I went with my builder was that my suit could be done in time for BLFC, and possibly make it to FurCon. I even had second thoughts after FurCon too to refund my money and get a new builder, but she said it can make it for BLFC so I said ok fine. BLFC is now less than 6 days away and I haven't gotten any email or response from them about receiving my fursuit, I assume they simply haven't even started on it. No updates no pictures, nothing at all. This makes 2 deadlines my fur suit has missed, I only have one more con after BLFC and that's Califur, after that my next con isn't until FurCon 2015. So at this point I in all honesty don't even want the fur suit from them anymore cause I can get something better, I was expecting to have it in time for BLFC this year and that seems incredibly unlikely.

It just really infuriates me that their leaving me in the dark without a response DAYS before my fursuit is due. They don't understand how stressed out and annoyed I am and I get more annoyed and more stressed out each passing day it's gets closer to the con. It's inexcusable for them to leave their commissioner without any answers or communication, especially for something that is really close to its due date.

I will be inquiring them about getting a refund on what I've paid them so far, they didn't post or say that they take a non refundable down payment so I expect to get all my money back. What sucks though is who knows how long it will take them to respond to it and refund my money. I'm pretty set on a new builder already and I'm gonna need the refunded money to make my down payment when they open.
