I'm not very fond of asking for money from anyone. Hell, even e-mailing my own mother asking for help pains me. I guess I can be proud that I went almost eight years without asking for her assistance. Anyway, I am hoping to get some help paying for this procedure, or some miracle happens and I find a professional willing to do it for less.

If anyone follows me on major social networks, or hang out in the same communities that I do, you may be aware of my tooth problem. I don't know what order this happened in, but a filling and piece of tooth chipped off while I was brushing last week. This tooth had previously been broken, and filled back in 2010. After the piece chipped off, I felt excruciating pain in that area, and consulted a dentist the very next day. He took an x-ray of the tooth, and found a "large radiolucency" underneath it - which indicates a lesion, or a cyst.

I went to the oral surgeon today, hoping for just a simple tooth extraction -- which I'd have been fine handling on my own. But he also wants to do a biopsy on the bone underneath. That, plus the expenses for the pathologists to investigate it, would be impossible for me to pay for in one sitting. And most of the oral surgeons I've been in contact with expect payment in full, up front. With no insurance, no discount card (not that it would cover cyst removal), and no credit (I've tried applying for CareCredit, but I don't have sufficient credit history), paying such an amount will be difficult, if not impossible.
