When I was about 7 or 8, waking up and realizing it was Christmas Morning, then wiggling my toes and then hearing the bells of my Christmas stocking clank and tingle, then opening up the gifts all by myself in bed...some were Matchbox cars...some candy...
40. If you were a "Christmas Character," who would you be?
Scrooge for sure!
41. Do you open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Our tradition was you get to open one on Christmas Eve. Then the stocking would appear on your bed during the night, and you would open those by yourself in bed. Then all the rest got opened together on Christmas morning - before Mass when I was young, and after Mass when I was older.
42. Do you all take turns, or just "dive in" and scramble?

43. Do you like to give or get presents?
Neither at Christmas any more. Christmas has become way too much about gift-giving obligations and gift-giving guilt and way too little about the good example of Jesus' life. I give presents whenever the mood strikes me during the whole year instead.

FA+

I no longer have the small fake tree that I had for years and years...and I refuse to kill a living tree for a silly celebration - that's just too primitive.
Also the tree represents the "presents" part of Christmas...the part that I am totally sick to death of.
