because military is very strict on the people who they have in their branches? They're looking to uphold a certain face, constantly, and people who are considered "out of the norm" are not good for that face. Your private life and your personal likes and opinions are not the likes and opinions of the military, and as such should be kept to your personal time.

When I was in the navy, I had tons of friends who were furries, and tons who weren't. There are hundreds of people, probably even thousands of people, in every branch who are furries. Theres even quite a few military branch related pages, on FA. I know for a fact theres at least one army one, and i think theres 3 navy ones.

also, I'm not sure you can "just quit" the army. It doesn't work that way.
