You could always draw characters doing the things you want to be doing

Now THERE is the real trouble; despite the impression my gallery would give, in reality I'm not a very sexual creature. Normally I'm thinking about homework/grading assignments/studying, and all I want to be doing is drawing! Lol, my imagination is atrophied.

Copy the context of others then? You mentioned gaming and other things too just take what you see from pictures do your own scene/situation but you can take the context of gaming or whatever and do that?

Well, by that logic maybe you should draw your character drawing.

Stress doesn't do much good for the imagination either, and I'd wager you're dealing with a lot of that right now. When I was polishing off my undergrad I lost pretty much all my creativity until I had some breathing room, so I commiserate.

I'd say the important thing is to relax.

Actually, I've been in the same boat (well in terms of ideas, since I can't draw for squat); been doing mostly studying for my bar exam since I'm graduating law school soon. However, one thing I've learned to get out of the idea funk is take the boring thing and intentionally exaggerate it into something wacky. For example, recently I've had several ideas related to law and Phoenix Wright. Heck, recently I got a picture of me using my evil-lawyering-abilities to tow away someone's city for illegal parking :p

So instead of worrying about the variety of real life-based situations you could draw yourself in, take what you do have and exaggerate it. For example, since you do recreational programming, you could draw yourselves in a tron-like game, or have your computer attack you because you inadvertently made an evil AI.

You should totally walk around your campus and just draw what you see! People can be weird... or creep them and eavesdrop real people for ideas! YEAH THAT'S THE TICKET SIR!
