No, and nope. That's an old argument that's gone around and been flogged into bits. They both have lions, the name of the main character is similar.. that's about where it ends. The Lion King is basically Hamlet, in Africa. Sorry to gripe, just a little passionate about the subject. :p

i was told from researching they did use their idea to make lion king. There is way too many similarities, such as the original concept of Simba was going to be WHITE. The bird says advice to the dad like lion king. There is hyena's that play a major role in the movie like the show. So yes they did take from that idea and everyone knows that. I have no clue why this guy is telling you different.
