Fur dying service

Depending on how this goes with this commission I am doing I may open up orders on getting custom dyed fur.
Ever want to make a suit but can't find that exact shade you like? Well this would be for you.
Not sure about the pricing yet, but I'm assuming it would be somewhere around $10 per yard or so.

Something I've been looking for: I want 2-3in pile fur with the top half being black, and the bottom being gray. The idea is that I can shave away the black to create black spots amongst the gray. Is that doable for you if you were to start with some 3in pile gray?

Yep! I actually experimented with this last night and got some awesome results with white and grey. It looks like and almost solid silver on top but if you brush back the fur it is white underneath. I could apply the same principle to any other color basically.

I would be very interested in this. Out of curiosity though would it be safe to wash? How colorfast would it be?

OP
I'm not sure about whether it should go in the washer or not :/ it can be placed in water and only lose a bit of color, however I probably wouldn't risk it. Id predict that this should probably just be surface washed or sprayed instead of being given intense washes, etc.

so not good for rain/snow then? Needing a yard of turquoise (only color I've found close is 100$ a yard with shipping- bleh)

OP
Oh no it would totally be fine for that. I'm just referring to any long term submerging in water. Actually, as long as it air dries and is not wrung out it should be perfectly fine even if it were to get soaked by rain, etc.
