So...

Just got back to Holland tonight. In the all of three days Dad's been gone our house was broken into.

They smashed the French windows to our back garden to get in, all in all they haven't taken too much (we think it was probably kids) - Dad's laptops, small electronics (our hand-held gaming systems are gone - fortunately the brother had the 360 with him :3). All things we can claim on the insurance easily enough, and the cat isn't harmed so all in all, not that bad.

Except they took the safe from my room (strangely though not my brothers), which I kept the jewellery Mum left me when she died. I'm devastated that I've lost them ;3;

Police have been round already, they found a few fingerprints and cig buts so that might work out. We're hoping we can track mum's rolex through the serial number at least.

This was not the christmas homecoming I was hoping for to be honest, but at least none of us have been hurt, and we've not lost too much of sentimental value.

Ugh.
