Need Help finding a good Tutorial.

Did you ever see the frightened ones?

I have PSE8 on my office PC, and GIMP on my laptop, I am looking for a good GIMP tutorial for Photo-manipulation of a 3/4 head, and a hand with the Peace sign. The first I want to manipulate into Fawkes's Face, and the second his paws as seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8303402/
I want to make a good Icon for my accounts, as it's been a long time since I updated it. Will be doing a little work on it between each of my commissions so I don't burn out on the different parts, know?
If y'all know any, just tell me, cause that would be great. I'd prefer GIMP as I don't get into the Office proper much lately. PSE8 will do in a pinch though.

I don't know of any specific tutorials for what you need but http://howto.nicubunu.ro/ is an excellent list of GIMP tutorials in general, and links to other similar sites as well. Hope this helps!
