Ugh. Hello art block ambush. We meet again.
What do you guys do to escape your art (or general creativity) blocks? I usually just curl up in a ball until I can manage to draw again; but I'd like to get out of this as soon as possible.
What do you guys do to escape your art (or general creativity) blocks? I usually just curl up in a ball until I can manage to draw again; but I'd like to get out of this as soon as possible.

I just take time to reflect on what I've done and to sort of rule out what has already been done and to try and find a new route--sometimes with a familiar plot (being a writer myself) and finding ways to make it different, sometimes with tone or characters :o

Sometimes going out and doing different things in general helps me. Watching and listening to new people, paying attention to them in ways I haven't thought of before, can open up some creativity.

Draw your character interacting with an art block (like a block that says "art" on it).

Just gotta take some time with other activities. Read a book, play some videogames, veg out with some music, or even just take a walk. Anything really! Gotta experience other things in life for all that inspiration to come-a-flowing.
