In reference to this post.
Many of us who write fanfiction do so because the setting presented is irresistible. The world is established but with enough pockets left open for other imaginative minds to take advantage of and present something new. Some times its just what we would like to see, but mostly its ideas and events that accentuate whats already happened or is happening. One of the greatest honors a fanfiction writer can ever dream of is the praise from the author of the original setting. It gives a sense of completeness, acceptance, and incomparable joy.
To have Dragontalon not only approve of the leading lady in my story but to also show that he's read and even likes what has been written is one of the greatest moments I've experienced here on FA, and it inspires me to write even more. This was going to be a journal entry about the sudden funk I've been feeling and the worry of it causing a writers block. Dragontalon? You've shattered that block. Thank you so much. For approving of my characters, for finding my story enjoyable, and for giving me another lift your story provided in the beginning.
