so far I think I only got one big complaint on that pic, but really it was just a joke to get an idea out for accomplishment. so am I in the wrong despite RU looking cute is it really that bad or just getting mad for what ever.

I really hope you didn't think RU of all people would purposely try to hurt people with something like this. Putting his character in their clothes isn't a way of expressing agreement toward their ideals, nor is this meant to bring up bad memories.

It's annoyed me for a long time that people take offense from something that was not aimed to be offensive in any way.
People look for a reason to be offended and don't consider the owners intentions on any level. :\
Personally, i feel the nien picture is perfectly fine, and if people find it offensive in some way, it's just them making a big deal out of nothing.
(Especially because it was aimed as a fun little drawing.)

Yeah. It's really dumb, I used to think the nazi uniforms were distasteful but why? The moment you wear a nazi uniform doesn't automatically make you wanna kill jewish folk and hunt gays. There's no logic in people on the internet, sadly, a lot of the time.
Overall you should just focus on the artistic side of your art piece, and not the historic, since offending, honoring or even admiring the Nazi culture wasn't you main goal. So don't get upset, angry nor worried, as long as it wasn't you main goal, you're as innocent as any of us.

I have long came to understanding where the original Swastika mean, and its many variants which one was to the Nazi party. Luckly the Nazi one is easy to identify cause its at a 45 degree angle.
But truth is, everything will offend someone 'somewhere', it's a big world, and it's just what's gonna happen. Can't please everyone. Of course there are some topics which are more offensive or triggering than others, so can just put a warning on them and leave it up to your own judgement to if you care if you offend anyone or not. The more popular you get, the more likely you'll get people complaining.
I honestly don't think the people getting offended are really offended. Or if they are, it's kind of a "jeez, get over it dude" thing, because I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone who actually went through the holocaust fits ALL of the following criteria: 1. uses this website 2. hasn't gotten over it in 80 years to the point of raging over a simple picture.
Also, I direct your attention toward Iron Sky, whose reviews gave no shits about the Nazis. The negative reviews were because it was kind of a crappy movie, not because it's "insensitive."

Sure, yes, they may say something such as "my ancestors/ancestors of my religious or cultural group were terrorized by the type of person portrayed" but even then, no one should ever be in any position to get offended by something that hasn't happened to them personally. They have no place to get offended, and they're fooling themselves and are looking for reasons to get offended regardless of the situation, or the implication of the picture.

The holocaust was without a doubt awful, but there were plenty of worse things that have happened in history and to completely taboo drawing or showing a swastika or anything nazi related shows that people are still scared/upset by it and that nazis still have power. Not everyone within the Nazi party even agreed with Hitler's beliefs and tried their darndest to earn enough to leave the country. Several tried to flee to countries that had no Nazi influence but it was hard to flee. Several of those who tried would get caught and charged. Just like it was here years and years ago it was REQUIRED that every young male of certain age must enroll. Even if the propaganda showed that EVERY Nazi was a bad guy this isn't true. There were a lot of them within the group who hated Hitler and wanted nothing to do with them but they were afraid what would happen to their family if they dropped out or said anything until AFTER he was put out of power. Those who had a large influence with the genocide were charged with war crimes and sentenced to death, but even having been associated with the uniform seems to be damning. This of the Pope... you know the one. In his youth he was part of the Hitler Youth. Think Boyscouts but with a title that will haunt them for the rest of their life. He wasn't even IN the Nazi party and people around the world are trying to shame him and called him a Nazi. I believe he even stepped down as Pope from all this.
It's one thing to hate the Nazi party and their practices... but really the clothing? It's a uniform! People have ALWAYS loved a uniform. There is an allure to them and it's not so much what they represent. Because you could easily hate cops but get turned on by a girl/guy in an exaggerated police uniform. Right? Another weird thing I've seen people hate on. The symbol the Nazis decided to adopt and plaster all over the place. The Swastika WASN'T even their invention! D: It's from Indian Religions! Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism! D: It's a tantric symbol that invokes Lakshmi - the Vedic goddess of wealth, prosperity and auspiciousness. The word swastika literally means "it is good." It's only because of the Nazi influence that this innocent symbol is now something to be ashamed of.
