My bike got wrecked
I was riding through spring valley yesterday to pick up my debit card which I forgot at an ATM. Cruising along about 30mph when a driver turned a left in front of me. I barely had time to get on the brakes before I impacted the right side of the car, where I was thrown forward and over the car.
I checked myself while people rushed over, and managed to get to my feet. I was a dumbass and decided not to wear my riding pants and boots that day, so my legs were covered in blood. One of my tennis shoes was 30 feet away. I had also just purchased a brand new Shoei helmet about an hour before hand, replacing my old and crappy one.
I stood up and took pictures of the crash scene on my phone. Then asked for some people to help get my bike on the stands. A bystander called 911 and an ambulance and firetruck shortly arrived.
I was already in the ambulance when the CHP officer arrived, but he managed to ask me a few questions before getting driven away.
In the end, I have a few stitches in my right knee and a ton of road rash on my leg and waist. I was lucky, damn lucky. My bike on the other hand was not.

Insurance should cover the bike, hell, I could even get a newer one of the deal. I won't quit riding just because I had a minor scrape. I just hope this whole process doesn't take too long.
My knee hurts like a bitch though, I can barely walk on it this morning without wincing. But at least I don't have to do PT for two weeks!
