friends...

ok so I do have friends this is just my mini rant.
Generally people tend to only act friendly or be "friends" if you are on their side and agree with everything they do and like. If you don't then you aren't a real a friend cause you don't 100% like or agree with them.
Isn't a good friend one who gives advice and tries to help you? Not one who follows you around and pats you on the back for every little thing?
Your not 5 anymore mommy isn't going to say good job for every little thing and don't expect your "friends" to. Don't you want a friend to yes be there for you when you need them, but also offer help and advice and a different point of view? Am I wrong?

Good friends give and accept advice. Good friends also accept the differences in their friends, and aren't afraid to talk about or explore their differences.
I'm not saying I don't have any real friends, it just seems many "friends" come and go very quickly.
