but hell if you think about it. 6800 bucks for a guaranteed 3 yrs, is actually not bad. and 82 mpg. probably handles nice too. Reminds me of a commuter version of the t-rex.
My trail of thoughts:
1: oh cool but it's an electric
2: It runs on petrol?
3: It's front-wheel drive
4: But 55 hp and ~550 kg/1250 lbs weight
5: And $6800 for a new, unique car *nods*
6: There are 14 000 people waiting in line for it? Ouch
I hope this 3-cylinder revs high. And that there will be people soon making them more powerful (turbo would be nice, like in KeiCars) and louder. With so much weight on front axle I wonder how well they manage to fight oversteer. I guess it wouldn't take more than some back tire pressure adjustment or 'wise' tire choice to make it bit oversteery in behaviour for fun-times.
And, kickass wheel-covers! Make a soft top version and you have a modern, much cheaper, Morgan 3Wheeler
I had a half stripped out geo metro, 998cc 55hp 3 cyl 5 speed 500kg without my butt in it.... Sound familiar? 45mpg+ with me driving it like a hooligan on delivery in the city.
This thing by the numbers adds up to a very fun little machine, But Id still rebuild another battle geo before buying one.
