On the job hunt still

General
I've put in close to 40 job applications so far over the last month, with no luck yet. I've only had 3 callbacks for interviews and none of them panned out. They all ended up being part time, and none have called for a second interview yet.
I have my hearing for my unemployment appeal next Friday, I'm calling my former supervisor as a witness as well as a coworker who contacted me to tell me that he'd heard people talking about my termination. I'm currently trying to file a complaint with the US Department of Labor for wrongful termination... once I am able to get in contact with someone from the regional office instead of just a general voicemail box.

Thanks. I'm more hopeful for Unemployment, that's who decides if I get paid or not right now. Department of Labor is a 6-9 month process which will change the official reason for termination. The main reason I'm filing with the DoL is so I don't have to disclose my reason for leaving my last employer to new companies.
