Possible Fursuit-head raffle @ Confuzzled?

Hey all!
Ive been toying with this idea for a while, Id love to do a custom fursuit-head raffle at Confuzzled this year,I think itd just be a really nice chance for someone to grab a fursuit head for as little as £1!
This head will be of toony style like the following:
-http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10762988/
-http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9307097/
Can be any species at all! I leave that completely up to the winner, though any electronics (LED's etc. will not be included)
I think itd be wise to place a maximum amount of tickets per attendee, but im unsure of what amount? Possibly 20?
The head would be placed into one of my winter slots and would be made late 2014 to early 2015
Id really like to announce the winner at the Con itself on Sunday late afternoon/evening (ill check the con schedule and make sure it doesn't clash with anything major) Though im unsure WHERE I could announce such a thing as there might be a fair amount of people with tickets....Ill ponder on this.
What im worried about, is if people get pissy if they dont end up being the winner. I can handle disappointed people, but I do trust that others wont get violent and stupid (especially at a con) at the end of the day, all you loose is £1.. I mean its not even a loss really, if it was any more like £10 I think people would get a bit iffy....
SO.
What do you guys think? Good idea, bad idea? :)

FA+

But on the flip side I can see people getting pissy it's not them all to easily... As stupid as that sounds.
Either way I would just shrug it off and do it anyway. I would imagine you would get a hell of a lot of interest!
But a douche or two shouldn't ruin a good opportunity for someone to grab something like this :) I can easily shrug off any hate, that type of thing really doesnt bother me much
I can't see you running into trouble personally! Don't think I have heard of any negativity involving things like this at CF
I think the easiest way to avoid trouble would be to hand off the actual prize-draw to a neutral third party - con staff if they're willing to help. Chuck the ticket counterparts into a bucket (ideally clear) then roll it around a few times and ask a conveniently located staff member to pull out a ticket. Make the rules and procedures clearly visible, then there's no excuse for them whining about it.
Indeed! I was not going to draw the ticket myself (seems a bit unfair) it was always going to be a staff member picking it out- Ill have the rules and terms written up on a board/paper so its very clear what the rules and conditions are
Would you be willing to open it to people who aren't attending the con?
I would say go for it. Put the cap on the maximum number of tickets. Then people can't be too annoyed that they spent so much but didn't win :)
Will put a cap into place, dont want people buying like 100 tickets or something
The ones who get pissy about not winning aren't even worth the thought. I'm sure security would jump in anyway if they started acting like twats.
And yeah its what ive been thinking exactly, I dont think there will be many (if any) problems
It' a shame I can't go to CFZ, but I hope to go someday! It's the nearest con, but I still can't go anyway x3
Good luck everyone, and looking forward to see who's the winner!
I think its ok if its called a raffle as we have looked into these things before and its the best way of avoiding gambling issues although a raffle is still gambling legally in the UK its not really chased up. But still check with commerce.
I'd certianly buy a ticket or 20!
That said, I wish I could enter! A raffle sounds really cool.
It may be difficult if people get rude about not winning but maybe you could make something really small for those who don't win the big thing?
Maybe a keychain or something so it's not as a loss? Just a little idea for you to think about :3
also would you be doing this for any other cons? (Metrocon in FL maybe?)
May be doing it at EF, there's so way I'll be able to afford american conventions xD not unless the convention itself sends the invite
and yes true xD It'd be a pain making a lot of little stuff.. It was just an idea .w.
