Melee classes are awesome

In mmos, rpgs, shooters/versus, and beat em ups. Normally in mmos i would pick a rogue or a mage or a archer but i just think melee has the most badass looks and is easier to pick up on but it can also be good to kill things quickly. Im thinking more of the lines of Warrior, berserker, defender(scarlet blade), dual blade, whips, cyber blade (scarlet blade), and force blader (cabal online). you dont have to worry too much about dying or anything. But melee does have its disadvantages mind you. Its good for beginners and veterans alike and it has flexibility. Now as for the other genres mentioned above, ya know why in RPGS there is a melee class at the beginning. As for the versus, beatemups and shooters, it really depends which game u are playing. But im not discouraging you from using long range just sometimes starting with agressive melee strategy is good to start with regardless of experience.

an experience long range attacker will always beat an experienced melee in almost any game. melee's biggest weakness is always having to be insanely close to something to hit it. mostly every game i play as a melee, theres always one point where im getting pelted by arrows or spells or anything before i even see whats causing it. in a real situation, someone like that would be useless. they may be good characters for beginners, but then again they may not. beginners would probably spend 70% or more of their fundings on healing items, where a long range character can worry less and spend those funds on something like a better weapon or piece of armor to start with. theyre meant to look all badass, but to me, theyre just OK

Well played. But the thing is... I originally play as magic based classes or long range but in most cases, i would choose melee and it depends how it was implemented. Runescape for example made them a bit weak cause being able to take major magic damage and moderate long range damage. I like whips the most cause i feel they have balance just the unfornate thing is, i know only 3 mmos that have whips as weapons. Whips are like mid to short range but have a sense of speed and pain

Hehe yes FFXI is ...well was good but um i got the xbox version the complete collectors with everything...the quests are hard to find the battle system is annoying also each month you have to purchase more characters whether you bought the xbox or ps1 version or not. I had level 23 black mage and i left for a week came back it was gone -.- all you have to do is go back online and spend 1 dollar to reopen your character so be warned if you buy more then one character slot your fucked

Ouch. I was playing it on private server but it got C&D maybe my fault for showing it on youtube. Its better to play XI on computer (doesnt require serious specs)
