It's not all that inaccurate honestly. As I understand it the way it works is that it's based entirely off the people who are watching you, but the people who are watching you effect your score more if there are a lot of people watching them. So basically, if you have "popular people" watching you, by proxy you have all of their watchers watching you too. Obviously this doesn't take into account a lot of things, but from an artist stand point it seems pretty accurate as ratings go.

Yeah, but I have Moonstalker, Zaush, Balaa, Silver Fenrir, etc watching me and I don't think all their watchers came over to watch me. X3 I would have noticed the ginormous amount of new watchers in my inbox! :)

I think it should just go by how many watchers you have period, despite if the people watching you are popular or not.

I will agree that it either needs to be less or more complicated of a formula. Either just be a flat "look how many watchers I have!" or also take into consideration other factors that would determine popularity as well. Since not everyone is an artist on FA it probably couldn't include things like comments or favorites received as that would give them a lower number while they may not necessarily be "unpopular." I suppose a flat number of watchers system may be more accurate, but I don't know much about statistics anyways so I'm not really in a position to say one way or another with any real authority.

Although my number is about where I would have placed myself if I had been asked to guess where my rank would lie on FA so maybe that's why I don't really think the thing is that inaccurate.
