What got you into drawing furry art?

I've actually been drawing furry art for a very long time, i think I started when i was around 10-11? I already had a love of animals, and I would browse the internet for pictures and came across various furry artists that i looked up to as well as furcadia. I continued drawing "furry" characters till i was about 14-15? I had begun distancing myself from the fandom due to a mix of the negativity surrounding it, people being jerks on furcadia, and the REALLY messed up fetish art that came out of it. At that time, i focused on drawing more human characters, and eventually got into the TF2 fandom (which was probably one of the best things to happen to my art in forever). At about 18, I re-embraced my furry side and joined FA, then a couple years later and here we are now cx

Do you feel the fandom is any less negative these days?

Did any of the crazy fetish stuff ever catch on (like how some may consider tentacles pretty messed up) or is all the stuff from back then still a big bucket of do not want?

Is Pyro male or female?

It's still pretty negative in places, but I've learned not to let it bother me so much c:

Where does the name "Nubs" come from?

Its from a silly nickname my friend gave me that stuck Cx
We were at a drive in one night and i was wrapped up in a sleeping bag in the seat, and she went to hand me the bucket of popcorn and i had grabbed it with my sleeping bag arm nubs. Now whenever we go to the movies she's all "You want some popcorn, nubs?" xD

That is really funny actually. lol! And that's how nicknames start!

Where did the idea for a hyenabear character come from?

I guess it was kind of a spur of the moment "My current sona doesn't fit me and needs to change" thing. The bear is from being a relatively common creature in the pacific northwest and fits my personality decently. The hyena is most cus i've always liked hyenas, and I am covered in freckles, which could be portrayed well with hyena spots cx

Well that's certainly a lot more thought out than "I just like cats".

ooOOoo that's a tough one. I like drawing a lot of species, but if i had to pick favorites probably dragons, birds, and well done hybrids

I like a lot of music, if i had to describe my tastes it'd be just about anything you can dance to (even though i dont dance xD). I tend to go in phases of what i like to listen to most, sometimes its 80's rock, sometimes techno/trance, etc. Currently i seem to be favoring a mix of rock and remixed dance music :>

Warm earthy colors, like the kind that make you think of fall -u-

I seem to have been pretty lucky on the weird commission ideas xD
Though it doesnt seem as strange to me now, This has always stood out to me as one of the odder commission requests i've gotten

My younger self would've been quite shocked at the idea, but nowadays, the things furries draw, that's very tame in comparison. Damn you, internet.

The internet has made me far too used to seeing things that would normally be quite shocking 8I
