it was pretty well over even before Obama. He isn't to blame for everything bad that happens here, though I'm agreeing a lot more with his detractors these days. We were on the moon and backed away. Apparently government would rather spend money on mindless wars here and abroad. That and send billions of dollars to our enemies in aid. But again, this has been happening for a long time now. It just gets worse all the time. I'd also like to see my tax money go into repairing and building new infrastructure all over the US. I don't think any serious work has been done there for way too long.

I'm right there with you. It's sad how little people in the US seem to care about the space program these days. Hell, moon base or not, we've barely begun to explore even our own solar system. I can't help but think that there's so much more for us to learn, and so much more for us to do out there! I wish the Russians the best of luck, but I wish that we were doing the same thing.
