so, I'm searching through the Closed species tag on here, because I'm always impressed with people's creativity (Oh no Pinapas, OH NO Bottled Jujus, AAAAHHH scarftails)
But then I see adopts that are... //Handmotions, literally an animal. Not even anthro, or glammed up in anyway. No mix of several species, or interesting twists.
It's just an animal. That can shoot fire.
Or an anthro animal with big paws.
Or an existing mythical creature with one vague change.
I'm all for bases being sold of species that aren't original. Like bowbuns, and bicorns, or other adopts that are literally just a feral animal or anthro animal. Not everything has to be a closed species! But when people do that, then slap a closed species title over it, I'm just like... but why?

Basically if you're white and straight, you're the scum of the earth, and if you're black/trans/gay, you can do no wrong. However if you're black/trans/gay and you defend someone who is white and straight, you're either pegged as not black/trans/gay, or you're an ~apologist~ who is as bad as white, straight people.
I only have RP blogs on there and I see all this shit all the time. I'd save screencaps as proof but man, too damn tired to keep up with inane prattle.
I think the the most counteractive I've seen are feminists attacking cigender women for wanting to be cisgender... What was that about equal rights to be whoever you wanted to be? Yeah, so much for that!

Yeah, again, it's totally cool if people want to make an unoriginal species, I've seen some where if I wasn't such a scrooge with money, I'd totally buy one or fifty. I can't draw/color/lack creativity, so I'd be willing to buy a species even if it's open. Hell, Ryn has people requesting to buy bicorns off her and she's already stated it's an open species cause she can't © unicorns.
I've just recently been looking into this, so I'm not sure if I'm wrong or not, but it seems like lately everyone has been trying really hard to make their own species.
