how would you peeps feel if i went back to more slower and textural dark ambient soundscapes for a while: stuff massively inspired by artists like vladimir frey or kevin drumm
here's some cited inspirations that i'd like to share (from both mentioned artists):

what would you folks also like to see in stuff like this from me? i'm trying to be more experimental

one thing I like is when a certain dynamic or logic is established in a piece, then ruptured by something new. which isn't hard to do, but what's more interesting is then to reconcile the two, for instance to re-introduce aspects of the earlier dynamics in a harmonious way. this can involve any aspect of the sound; some pieces even have multiple layers of this process going on at once involving different sets of sounds or sound-qualities. uh, if I think of a good example I can point it out.
obviously this is not like a revolutionary concept, but I hear a lot of textural dark ambient type stuff where the creators seem to be content to just pick one set of synths/samples & melody/key & effects and then twiddle with a handful of parameters for five or ten minutes
which, okay, but
y'know??
