Does anyone have any tips to help with motivation? I can't even write private stuff for myself without closing the program in frustration.

Work. A lot. I feel like I've cut down half a forest, but my motivation meter's getting harder to fill. Still, that's what usually gets me going.

I feel the same way. Nothing seems to motivate me. Every time I try, I just can't do anything without getting bored and going to do something else. It's frustrating. I guess all I can tell you is...get yourself into a contented, excited state, and use that high to quickly do something you want before it goes away.

Try using background noise while you work. For me, I try to listen to audiobooks while I draw. I don't know if it would work as well with writing, but you could give it a shot.
