Anyone tried it yet?
Played it this weekend and it seems really fun so far. The combat is really fun and the world looks awesome. And I absolutely love the different paths you can take. Scientist, Settler, Soldier, and Explorer.
Also the races are interesting. Not your run of the mill elves and gnomes and stuff.
Definitely going to get it once it gets released.

FA+

I also found out, that despite my RPG background, I'm not really an MMORPG player. I'm with Star Wars: The Old Republic since the beginning and still haven't played all stories through. Not to mention that I don't have the high-end equip.
After playing all stories (which will probably take me forever) through, I'll probably retire from it and stick to a free-to-play or pay once MMORPG (Guild Wars sounds good).
I do must say that Wildstar looks very tempting, even more so then The Elder Scrolls Online.
I do hope you have fun there. I hope it's a great game.
I don't know how the heck that works.
Details?
Honestly, i'm rather pissed off at this whole situation, since it won't let me play the damn game at all because of it.
As for the ban, that sucks. I'm wondering if someone using the same name may have done something to get themselves banned. You may have to use a different user name and/or email. (And yes, I've seen people "borrow" someone else's user name for a new game before. I don't really know why the hell they do it, but they do, so that might be how you got banned.)
I've heard all the talk about guesting with friends on ESO being a pain in the ass, horses costing a fortune, etc.
As for horses... Consider this: you can buy and ride a horse at level 1 (technically 3, since that's the level you reach in the tutorial or if you skip it). However, instead of a level "gate," you have a money "gate." It's like any other mmo I've played, in which you should be able to afford your first mount by the time you reach the expected level/content progression. Do you expect to get the best mount right from the start, or do you want to earn it?
Anywho, I didn't mean to start an argument on the matter. Those are just my opinions, and you have yours.
I guess the money thing depends on the person. I've made plenty (my main is only level 23), and so has another RL friend of mine. As for the Imperial race "nonsense," I don't think it's that big of a deal. I bought the Imperial Edition, and I don't even play an Imperial (I went Breton; better racial bonuses).
Honestly, the most complaints I see are the usual "why isn't this F2P, I can't afford a monthly fee" complaint. My experience with P2P games? It becomes pay to win, and/or get bled by a bunch of micro transactions (which ends up costing more than a sub fee). The other major complaint is that the game plays more like Oblivion than Skyrim, which is opposite of what a lot of people were expecting.
