What do you like about my art?
Hey guys. Due to some recent stress, certain trends I've been noticing, and a disagreement with a couple people, I'd like to ask you a few questions.
What is it that you like about my art? Does the explosion fetish add or take away from the art for you? Which is your favorite piece I've done so far?
If you have time, I'd really appreciate an answer. If not, I hope you continue enjoying my artwork anyway.

The explosives are strange for me.
When they are buried in explosives, or have them strapped to themselves like some sort of terrorist suicide bomber, as if the proposition of being blown to charred, bloody chunks all over the room is somehow sexy ... I personally find those significantly unappealing. Sometimes the characters (usualy ponies) are sexy enough that I can just pretend the dynamite belt of bloody death is not there and enjoy the rest of it, but when it stands out too much to be ignored, I just get creeped out by the morbid concept too much.
On the other hand, Damsels in Distress is a fun concept to play with, and I actually find the explosives add a sense of excitement and suspense in the scenes where they look to be seconds away from needing to be rescued, or rescue themselves.
So ... Ponies ACTUALLY blowing up, presented as a fetish, is distinctly unappealing to me. Death isn't Sexy (IMHO). I don't find toony blackface explosions all that interesting either, especially when it looks like they SHOULD have died from the amount of explosive presented.
However ... Ponies ALMOST blowing up can suggest heart pounding excitement and thus hightened emitional states, which CAN be sexy in the right scenarios. Similarly, excaping near-death narrowly rnough that they are caught up in the splash wave and have their clothing scadalously burned or ripped off their bodies from the blast (while doing no serious harm or dismemberment beyond minor burns, bruises and scratches), could make for some very interesting scenes that fit within the 'Pony BOOM' theme without weirding out those more squeemish about implied bloody dismemberment like myself.
Just my thoughts on the matter ... since you asked.
In the pics where Octavia and the spa twins have TNT belts around their waste, or Rarity in a box full of Dynamite sticks, or the pair on the bed atop a massive stack, the presense of the TNT actually ruins the pics for me. The explosives are just distracting and disturbing for me, which is sad, because the girls look so hot otherwise and would have been instant faves, if not for the bombs.
The firecrackers between the boobs I GET, but it's just not my thing. All I can think is ... "OW, that's gonna hurt."
However, my favorite pic in your gallery is of Daring Do desperately trying not to let her massive knockers push down the plunger on her death trap. EXITEMENT!!! The quirkyness of imagining just how much she is regretting being such a physically GIFTED woman in that moment makes it fun.
I also like the suspense the chocolate egg adds in the Pinkie Pie Easter pic. "It's Gonna Blow!!!"
And That Spitfire pic where she is straddling the giant bomb which clearly looks armed and extremely dangerous ... I can just imagine her saying "I just wanted to feel the POWER bertween my legs". Okay, ... seriously ... That's HOT. Like ... Mega Hot.
Terrorist Suicide Bomber Belts ... not so much ...
I'm certainly not one to be judging anyone elses quirky interests and fetishes. I personally have an odd fixation with Egg Laying and Childbirth, the latter known to be one of the most painful experiences known ... so the idea that one might like things exploding on them is not that strange by comparison.
Don't get too stressed out about it. Just make what you like and don't let others get you down ... including me ...
Thanks for taking the time to comment!
