What's gray-and-white, between 75 - 100lbs, canine, and indigenous to redwood forests?

That's what I was thinking! But some biologist friends are saying they're not native to Bay Area. Still the best guess I can think of though =3

I'm thinking wolf, too. They definitely weren't huskies, and are too big to be coyotes. And coywolves don't come this far west.
