Darksouls 2 not working for anyone else?

I press play on ds2 and it loads up a white window then has an error saying it stopped working. :/
Anyone else having this issue?

(For serious, I hope it works man. :C That sucks.)
Currently, I'm awaiting an update, despite preloading D:
Not to mention it runs at 60-30, and does so smoothly, unlike Dark Souls, which even with the fix often chugs to 15!
