I have met my mentor, my Viking

I've been hanging with a 35 year old warrior -he's career military- who loves comic books, heavy metal and Viking culture. He wants to train me in martial arts and make a proper shield-maiden out of me. Life has been turned upside down but in the most intriguing way. I like that I have the respect of someone so much older. I like that he takes me and my Viking-ness seriously. Things are changing for me.
