FURSUITERS/ARTISTS OPINION NEEDED - YARN TAILS

Hey guys, I just have a question regarding yarn tails v.s. other kinds of tails.
As I'm sure most of you know already, I'm putting together a fursuit (aka putting together separate fursuit part commissions – I have no talenttt :P).
Anyway, how well would you say a yarn tail would blend with the bum of a faux fur suit?
I have a tail now, but it's curled and not ideal for running/jumping/all the fun fursuit activities . I want to get a floppy tail for that. I'm interested in commissioning a yarn tail since they look so puuurrrdy, but I know nothing about fabrics and the like (crafts are like math for me – NOPE NOPE NOPE/ FAIL FAIL FAIL hence the English degree and Technical Editing job yaaa).
I was just hoping some of you more talented/experienced furs could help me out on this one.
