I'm using an ElectroVoice 664 mic, into a small Behringer mixer.

I put a lot of 'low-ball' bids on, and every now and then I get a great deal.
Like all auctions, on line and IRL, you need to do your research.
Several of the ElectroVoice mics were in production for many years.
I've learned to look for the 'small switch' and red 'EV' logo on their mics.
Those are the ones in later production.
The 664 was a popular 'ham' mic, and you can find it listed under 'radio gear', as well as 'pro-audio/microphones'.
Same with the 636 'Slimair', also known as the 'Dog Dick' Mic.
Shure 55's seam to fetch a high price on ebay, once it was labeled the 'Elvis' mic.
51's also seam to go pretty high too.
Shure vintage mixers are all getting noisy, from the 'caps' drying out.
So unless you are going to replace them all, be prepared for a lot of hum and hiss.
A great resource for EV mics:

So far, I've not found an 'all inclusive' page for Shure.
PM me if you want to 'talk shop' some more.
But as you can see, once I get started on the topic, there's no shutting me up!

At the stations I work with all sorts of gear. You would have loved the gates 1KW AM transmitter we pulled out. I gave it to the ham radio club. The main tubes in it were 4... I want to say 813... each was the size of a softball. Nice orange glow. I had no place to put it as it was the size of a refrigerator but its great for people who like big iron. take out the crystal and mod the coils and its a good HF amp.
