Of course, there are 3,000 calories/pound, so you would have to have a deficit of 120,000 calories to lose 40 pounds. Over six months (6 * 30 days), that's a (120,000 / 180 ) =650-700 calorie/day deficit. So you'll only be able to eat 1,100-1,200 calories/day. I realize that's only 1.5 pounds per week, but I'm not sure I'd recommend that you drop your calorie count that low. Maybe go for a longer run and drop it only to 1,400 calories? Maybe add some more exercise to boost your metabolic rate.

Not that there's anything wrong with your weight - I'd love to be that thin.

I didnt know a pound had calories! :P My thought is Im going to turn fat to muscle, it'll take awhile, but itll happen.
