As many of you know, I've considered myself fit enough to go back to work. I'm back in Arizona for training and I'm due to ship out to Afghanistan in early June for a 1 year deployment (or the base shuts down which ever happens first.) I'm really looking forward to providing security to the men and women who fight for freedom. I probably wont be back in Cali for a while but I'll do my best to attend the halloween parade.

Bummer. I know they're drawing down. I'll be there when the base gets shut down which kinda sucks because that means I gotta spend 1 month just cleaning and packing stuff up to go back to the states.

yeah, my last deployment base was only open for a year. funny thing is they didn't finish the gym or rec center until it was almost shut down.
We didn't have a hospital, so I volunteered to drive people to other bases just for entertainment lol.
still beats a fob I guess.

Jalalabad is a FOB. I like it. I was at Balad (joint airbase) before and I didnt like it as much as J-bad. I guess I like sleeping in a tent.
