C'mon Furries - Seriously

I really don’t understand the point of IRC’s anymore n frankly, I’m losin’ my faith in fur-manity once again.
What is the point of havin’ a public-based network where people do nothin’ but shun outsiders, ignore others n only work towards their own personal goals? Heaven forbid they don’t get to bust a nut every half hour or so.
I joined an IRC in hopes to connect back with the furry community, to be a character amongst many other creations with optimism to find further like-minded furs whom can actually hold a conversation.
This fandom was founded on the very fact that we housed foreigners; we're most of us were outcasts from the rest of society in the first place. So now, amidst our already weakened social states we are gettin’ ignored by people who are in the same shoes – people who should be connectin’ with one another.
But it’s completely fine if you’re popular or you’re part of a clique, isn’t it? Why worry about the feelin’ of bein’ lonely when you have people hangin’ off your genitals every second of the day.
Mention you’re an artist – yay you get noticed. But wait, it’s a faux friendship in hopes to get free art from you.
Self-absorbed, disrespectful n arrogant people the lot of them; it reminds me all too much how poisonous IRC’s can truly be.
I wanna make friends,
Not lose faith.

I never liked the IRC interface anyway.
It does amaze me how much drama is in other communities I'm apart of
Difference was in my highschool we reached an age of maturity where we all came together (Even if it was the last year or two of school left)
