As I sat there in the dark auditorium, watching as chorus finished their last key, I sighed in relief knowing I was one step closer to going home and wasting the night browsing Game Grumps and Cinema Sins. However, I did not expect them to do visual art student awards.

I was surprised, upset, and nervous. This was certainly new; further more, I was a bit upset. I always felt awkward about competitions for art. They always seemed unfair to me, almost as if rewarding people for being better than others. Of course this wasn't true, but it still hurt considering I never won anything for my pieces--this could also prove to be somewhat bias then.

AP Art. Beginners. Intermediate. Photography. Finally, Proficient students of 4 period, 3 each, were to be chosen as the top three.
I started to wonder why I was here after they started to calling names, eyes darting to find the back door exits. I even started to get distracted and started finding the ceiling more interesting.

It must've been some daze I was in, because the moment I find blinding lights against my head as I stand next to 2 other students, an audience in front of me as claps of applause were heard as my legs shook with excitement and shock.

3rd place for my piece Treat Trap. This was something new.
