Well, they were indeed banned for being a choking hazard, but not because they thought people would eat the egg whole, but that kids would eat the toy inside anyways............

So I guess other countries are A-OK with kids choking on little toys, I guess.

well in most countries the people in the store know not to sell them to kind under 3 years old like listed on the wrapper, really if any kids are going to choke on that they would then choke on a stick from a sucker or the wrapper from a candy bar but they still sell those in the USA.

Mm, that's true. I suppose kids are clueless and stupid, whatever country they come from. Of course, we have to blame the parents. It's quite easy to say to a child, "Look, be careful eating this!" but hardly any do.
