Odds are dude, alot of those people barrowing your character are probly reletivly young and never even thought or considered they were "Stealing" and probly just wanted a pretty picture. RPing has changed alot, you cant even get an rp unless your have a pretty picture, weither or not if its yours.

And yeah, not everyone, especally kids can just simple draw or afford commissions XD

You can tell they're under 18 IRL because they all put 18 as their age. I bet most aren't 18. :p

I discovered the fandom around 14/15 too. And strangely my age never came up much. Nobody ever asked. And back then they didn't seem so..strict about it? Maybe? I dunno. XD

I guess at the time nobody was really worried about it. It started to become a thing when a few people realized that some of the art commissions and RPs they did were for and with Minors.

Yeah that makes sense. The fandom didn't really grow much until internet became more prevalent. Back then, online access wasn't as cheap as it is now or as commonplace. GOD I FEEL OLD.

FEEL THE AGE

MY BIRTHDAY ISN'T FOR A COUPLE MORE WEEKS YOU CAN'T MAKE ME YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD

I use F-list and F-chat all the time. I used to use just random pictures of guys that I thought best physically fit my characters, but I never used any already established characters' pictures; I only used drawings that were only of some random guy that the artist drew, like an anatomy lesson or a doodle or something. And on top of that, I would specify that the pictures weren't of my character and the art wasn't mine either, along with pointing out what was different between the picture and my character. I feel like it's impersonating somebody when you use their character as your character's image. I figure that if the guy in the picture doesn't have a name and the artist says "Eh, this is just a sketch or a doodle and I'm not going to do anything with him," than it's fair game to me. But recently I met a guy in chat that drew pictures of my actual characters, so I don't use random pics any more. XD Anyway, that's just my 2¢.

I know nothing about this. Where do I go to find out if anyone used my super commissions?
