Yet another reason I have a shitty relationship with mom and dad: we share no common interests...I try to start up a conversation about something interesting its either dismissed immediately or I get bitched at about how it doesn't matter or pertain to anything.

If it doesn't involve God, politics, or current world affairs...it doesn't matter...politics though interesting are a devoid of any enjoyment because again...my political views tend to clash with my parents ..leading to the bitching and the "you've got to be kidding me" *chuckle and that look like I'm some sort of dumbass*
world affairs though they can be interesting are almost always the same..*someone or some country did something stupid or radical and suddenly everyone gets into a world wide "whose penis is bigger" pissing contest.

and God...I like talking about God. if it'd one thing my parents do right its giving good spiritual advice (and that's as far as Ill go into it because if I go further I'm sure some dumbass will get butthurt that I mention Christianity (oh the inhumanity.....) and bitch about how I'm forcing a religion on them. anyway...anyone else run into this?
