Is it just me...

...or is there a certain influx of certain characters showing up all across FA? I know that there are certain people who do fan art of stuff, but there are some OCs that seem to have waves of art made in giant batches. I'm not going to name names, but there are definitely some users who are getting art by the truckload of their character.
I'm not complaining, not really. The first time I noticed it, I was very upset, but that was because the user kept bidding and autobuying on auctions from artists I watch left and right. They were also commissioning a ton of artists I watch so my feed was blowing up with art of the character. Needless to say, I got kind of sick of it.
Now I'm seeing art all over FA pop up of a different character, not owned by the person mentioned earlier, but this time it doesn't seem as intrusive. They are getting art from lots of different artists, some I don't watch, and it's usually with other characters, so it feels like there is variety. I understand the need to get art of your characters. Hell, I've got a decent list of artists who are working on stuff of my characters, but I'm not commissioning 10-20 artists all at once and spamming people's feeds. I'm waiting patiently like everyone else for cool art from awesome people and building up a small repository of stuff to upload later.
Yeah, I've been bad about uploading stuff I've gotten. I'll be doing it slowly over the next few days as I realize my gallery hasn't been updated in a while (same as the tumblr...I've gotten pretty bad about it).

I think that sometimes whoever is the owner of the character might be just has like a back log of art from commissions or their own work and they just do a big mass art dump.

It's definitely not a single user posting all of this stuff, it's the original artists. And in the case of the original user who was getting tons of art it seemed like every 6-8 hours a new image would pop up and all I could think is "how you have so much disposable income?"

The disposable income question I ask a lot lol. Cause there are some artists that are really good and their prices reflect that.

Lol I've had some of those kind of people commission me too. Though there are other who collect stuff and then just upload it in a batch (guilty).
