Forgive me for not posting this sooner. It took me awhile to wrap my head around this fully.
So last Friday I took Pandora to the vet in regards to the lump on the back of her leg. Turns out, it IS infact a tumor. *sighs* It's going to be about $370 for the surgery. I went ahead and decided to go ahead and get her spayed as well because then I don't have to pay for anesthesia twice. It' going to cost another $140 to send the tumor off to get it checked to find out if its benign or malignant.
Benign tumors are not cancerous. They:
can usually be removed
do not come back in most cases
do not spread to other parts of the body and the cells do not invade other tissues
Malignant tumors are cancerous. They:
can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs
metastasize (cancer cells break away from a malignant tumor and enter the bloodstream or lymphatic system to form secondary tumors in other parts of the body)
So.... yeah this all sucks. And if its malignant I'm going to be devastated because then I have to keep watch on her very closely to make sure it doesn't spread. Otherwise, she is completely healthy and has made a 100% recovery from her near-death experience with poisoning a month ago at the hands of my neighbor. Her surgery has been scheduled for next Tuesday, May the 13th.
To see the pics of Pandora's leg tumor you can go to the dropbox link here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7d55f0gc.....hdc/DXH7gh1g8z its in the same folder as the pics of when she was poisoned and her vet bill from then. Her surgery estimate has also been posted in that folder if you wish to help but want to see proof. I am ALWAYS more than willing to show someone proof of where their donation money is or will be used. This current estimate does NOT include her shots, which are also out of date. The vet didn't want to do them last month because she was sick, and I was going to get them done when she went to the vet this past Friday but the vet said lets hold off until after her surgery. And I did notice today that Pandora's birthday is wrong on there, I'll have to update that when I go in.
If you want to help, you can donate to my paypal, if you just want to send your thoughts and prayers, that's appreciated as well or you can pimp a journal and see if others can help. All your choice. I know several friends have helped nearly every time they see a journal and I hope they know they are NOT forgotten and I deeply love and appreciate them and all their help. =) My paypal is Known2bite[at]yahoo.com

I know how it feels to have a pet that ends up costing you a lot of money to keep healthy and wish I could help simply for that reason. But I truly hope its only Benign.
